Lakkidi is a rainforest in the Ghats section of Wayanad. Due to the rainfall from 600-650 cm or above it is often called "Chirapunjee of Kerala".
This is Meenmutty waterfalls the biggest among other waterfalls in the state with a height with height of 300mts. The reason behind the name meenmutty is the concept that fishes gets blocked here. Meen means Fish and Mutty means Blocked in Malayalam which is the native language of Kerala.
