Seriously? - Check our Website

We need a fridge freezer, it's not desperate, we can manage but I need to replace the one we have. We have our eye on a nice Samsung one; however, it and many other makes are out of stock at the minute due to the effects of COVID and the fact that nobody has made anything for just under two years.

I went into a well known UK electrical goods outlet yesterday and was told that they are due some in as of the 9th but for some reason, the system would not allow the guy to place a pre-order. "That's strange? I can only suggest you come back tomorrow and try again," he said.

Me: "Hi there, I came in yesterday and I'm after this fridge freezer"
(Showing him it on their website on my mobile)

Assistant: "It says it's available for home delivery on the website."

Me: "Ah, that's the thing, the website is wrong. It clearly hasn't been updated. If you look at your system you will see you have none. Now I came in yesterday and a chap told me that he couldn't place an order on the system for some reason I had to come back today."

Assistant: "Oh, I'm showing no stock."

Me:I know, I want to pre-order."

Assistant: "Ah, I don't know how to do that and I'm afraid there's nobody here."

Me: "WHAT!?"

Assistant: "All I can suggest is you keep an eye on the website. "

Me: "It's not being updated is it!?

Assistant: "Ah, Ooh, Umm? Yeah.

Looks like I'm going back tomorrow?
