In 1945, the allied forces such as USA, Britain and france defeated the axis power Germany, italy and japan. The atom bombs dropped upon the cities of Hiroshima and nagasaki in japan let to the surrender of japan and subsequently to the end of second world war. It brought about immense losses to human kind and widespread destruction of property.
