Shots around Moab
Last week while we were in Moab, we spent a couple hours wandering around the downtown area and doing some photography. The city isn't as cool as I was hoping that it would be. I was expecting to see lots of people walking around main street and checking out the shops, but it was pretty empty.
A day or two before we got there, there was some pretty heavy rains, which caused most of the downtown area to flood. One of my buddies was there for the rains and floods and he said it was so cool seeing all the flooding and the waterfalls that were coming off the red rocks. Too bad we missed all of that and all we got to see was some of the devastation that was left over. A couple days ago, it flooded again in that part of Utah, and I guess it was pretty bad and destroyed a lot of stuff. Good thing we weren't there during that time.
It was pretty hot the day we were going around taking these pictures, so we didn't last too long out in the sun before we found a place to eat and then made our way back to the resort to spend the rest of the day in the pool. I can't wait to go back down to this resort with my wife and spend time in the pool there. It was the coolest pool I have ever been to because it was surrounded by red rocks and looked just like you were chillin on Mars. I am going to have to go through my phone and see what pictures I have from the pool because we didn't have our phones or cameras for the majority of the time we were swimming. We were too focused on just unplugging and relaxing on Mars.
