Ducks in the still waters
I love how these turned out
When I was camping, I took some time to take some pictures of the ducks that were swimming around in the calm morning waters of the lake.
The lighting was perfect and the calm water made really cool reflections of the ducks as they swam.
I had my Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for these shots. I wish I had a teleconverter to put on my lens to double the distance that it shoots, but I guess that will be a later time when I get that. It would be fun to mess around with shooting macro and using a teleconverter.
If I had a 2x teleconverter on my lens, these pictures would be a lot closer and would be equivalent to shooting with a 140-400mm lens.
It was fun watching the ducks dive down into the water and scoop something up from the bottoms to eat.
Not really sure what it was that they were eating. Looks a bit like worms or some squid type stuff, but squid doesn't make sense for where we were, so I have no idea what it was chomping on.
I'll end with this shot I got of the duck diving under the water to get something to eat. I thought it was really cool how the reflection and the water looked as it was entering the water.
I hope you enjoyed these images of ducks. Wildlife is so fun to take pictures of. I hope that I can get out and do it more.
