Examen práctico - primer nivel 👩🏻‍🍳🍅 [ESP-ENG]

Feliz noche amigos de Hive Food hace un mes que no público nada en la página pero es que no he tenido ánimos de hacer post, pero decidí que era hora de volver y es que el día martes tuve examen en la escuela de cocina y es que estoy estudiando la carrera de chef pastelera. Bueno en realidad hace 8 años estudie esto, pero estoy estudiando nuevamente y debo decir que estar estudiando en estos momentos de mi vida me está salvando.

Good night, Hive Food friends! It's been a month since I last posted anything on the page, but I haven't felt like it. However, I decided it was time to return because I had an exam at culinary school on Tuesday. I'm studying to be a pastry chef. Actually, I studied this eight years ago, but I'm studying again, and I must say that studying at this point in my life is saving me.

Al llegar a la escuela estaba todo listo para comenzar el examen, somos 12 estudiantes y cada uno debía preparar un postre con ciertos ingredientes que ellos nos dieron. En casa se preparó la mayoría del postre y al llegar a la escuela solo debíamos emplatar.

When we arrived at school, everything was ready for the exam. There are 12 of us students, and each of us had to prepare a dessert with certain ingredients that were given to us. Most of the dessert was prepared at home, and when we arrived at school, we only had to plate it.

Al llegar a la escuela saludé a la secretaria y le recordé que debía darme la filipina que no había llegado antes. Por supuesto me fui al baño a colocarmela y tomarme algunas fotos. No hay nada mejor que estudiar lo que amamos y aquí estoy yo estudiando una carrera que amo y que está salvando mi vida mientras atravieso el duelo.

When I arrived at school, I greeted the secretary and reminded her that she was supposed to give me the lab coat that hadn't arrived yet. Of course, I went to the bathroom to put it on and take some pictures. There's nothing better than studying what you love, and here I am, studying a degree I love that's saving my life while I'm going through this grieving process.

Yo literal solo debía emplatar mi postre. A mí me tocó preparar un brownie fudge, un mousse de queso crema, una mermelada de tomate, una masa streusel de chocolate, Coulis de tomate y un musgo verde que se realiza con bizcocho genovés. Cómo pueden ver son postre de autor que debemos ser bastante creativos y yo ame el postre que tuve que realizar y estaba muy nerviosa por mi presentación.

I literally only had to plate my dessert. I was tasked with preparing a fudge brownie, a cream cheese mousse, tomato jam, a chocolate streusel topping, tomato coulis, and a green moss made with Genoise sponge cake. As you can see, these are signature desserts that require a lot of creativity, and I loved the dessert I had to make and was very nervous about its presentation.

Está foto la tomaron justo antes de que salieramos a presentar nuestros platos a los jurados. Cómo cosa rara casi no se me ven los ojos, los jueces eran una chef de un reconocido restaurante de la isla y una influencer. Estuve muy nerviosa pero fui la primera en presentar el postre.

This photo was taken just before we went out to present our dishes to the judges. Oddly enough, you can barely see my eyes. The judges were a chef from a well-known restaurant on the island and an influencer. I was very nervous, but I was the first to present the dessert.

Al salir la secretaria me ayudó, ya que debíamos entregar el menú para que cada comensal supiera lo que estaba comiendo.

As I was leaving, the secretary helped me, since we had to hand out the menu so that each diner would know what they were eating.

Una de mis compañeras me tomo esta foto mientras yo hacía mi presentación. Estaba nerviosa pero aún así siento que lo hice bastante bien. Tener de jurado a una chef creo bastante nerviosismo, pero creo que para ser estudiantes de un nivel básico de repostería lo estamos haciendo bastante bien.

One of my classmates took this picture of me while I was giving my presentation. I was nervous, but I still feel like I did pretty well. Having a chef as a judge made me quite nervous, but I think that for beginner pastry students, we're doing pretty well.

Cuando todos terminamos nos tomamos una foto juntos, las personas del jurado elogiaron nuevamente mi postre y dijeron que se iban muy contentas con nuestros desempeño. Amiga @melinda010100 seguro que al ver este post te acuerdas cuando estudie hace años y tú me ayudaste tanto. Todo salió muy bien y pasamos al nivel intermedio de esta academia.

When we all finished, we took a picture together. The judges praised my dessert again and said they were very happy with our performance. My friend @melinda010100, I'm sure seeing this post will remind you of when I studied years ago and you helped me so much. Everything went very well, and we passed to the intermediate level of this academy.
