The Cuban emerald is found on the main island of Cuba. It is also found on Grand Bahama, Great Abaco, Andros, Green Cay and occasionally as a stray on other islands in the Bahamas.
The picture was taken in the South of Matanzas (Zapata Swamp), the place in Bay Of Pigs where USA tried to invade in the 1961. Today is a very nice and natural place where peace and nature blend in one.
