It is autumn. For the organic garden is a very important period, the land preparation period for the next season.
Today, the method of non-cultivation of land using chemicals is increasingly being advocated or, supporters of organic food, the principle of Mr. Fukuoka. I think that both are ways of extreme. The truth is, as in most cases in life, somewhere in the middle.
This year, I planted my garden abundantly with a manger (fertilizer), sample and prepared the soil for sowing rye.
Further, nature will do its best during the winter, and we will look forward to the spring without worries.
When the rye grows, the soil will be covered before the frosts. This soil protects against erosion and forms a bio mass that will serve us as a green fertilizer during the spring preparation of the soil for the main crops.
Rye will successfully physically, as a competitor, suppress the development of the weeds and thus will ease the work in the garden.
