Travel with me #1 - Allapuzha
Hello again Steemit!
With this new series of posts I want to share with all of you my new travel adventures. In the following months, I'm planning to visit India and Southeast Asia, mainly Vietnam and Cambodia. My journey starts in Allapuzha, a beautiful city of Kerala, in the south of India. Allapuzha (or Alleppey) is famous for its beautiful nature, stunning channels (it's often described as the "Venice of the East") and snake boat races.
One of the first stops in this trip was Marari beach. It is not one of the most widely known beaches in Kerala, but it's perfectly calm and integrates with the green nature without having many buildings in sight. The beach is rather clean and can be found full of crabs.
Another important stop in Allapuzha is the backwaters. For an unexpensive price, you may enjoy the channels and nature of Allapuzha in a small boat. Not much to explain here, simply enjoy the view!
Finally, you may wander in the city, discover temples and visit the markets... There are endless possibilities.
Distances may be long at times, so you may need a rickshaw.
That's it for now! Next stop will probably be Kochi, one of the main maritime ports in India.
