Sad tale : My Actifit Report Card: June 14 2026
Nature can seem cruel sometimes ๐. We learned today from local environmental staff that one of our swans at Ifield Mill Pond has passed. It is not known how this happened, but tests are being done on the bird by environmental authorities. There are still two cygnets surviving as you can see in my pictures, amongst other wild fowl.
There are so many geese here now. Mostly canada geese, but a few other types, such as Egyptian geese.
This lake is so nice to walk around. Especially with the suspended platform across the middle.
Even with such sad news, we know that nature has resilience to recover from setbacks like this and future years will show this.
