Will Bitcoin Gold be ready in time for the hardfork?

I really don't know what to make of Bitcoin Gold. In a letter they published only three days ago, they inadvertently admitted that they may be understaffed. With the hardfork apparently aimed at October 25, their planning seems rather weak.

In it, they state that replay protection is a "must have"...

yet, it still hasn't been implemented in code. The reason they give is that there was only one volunteer developer on working on it...

What's more their website doesn't have any content, yet. This with less than two weeks to go!
