Since TMZ made this video impossible to find online, I'm keeping it alive here. This piece was painted with purple latex with paint roller. I didn't really have time to detail this one out then as this kind of painting has to be done way too quickly for me.
Police response time is supposedly 3 minutes...
This is still my most famous piece of splash art. Too bad they had it removed, it could have been worth millions!
I remember seeing this at the time and thinking Harvey Levin actually got this one right. Notice how crew TMZ all grumbled after he said we're both guilty.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, and greater California, they went with the TMZ crew & not the L.A. city law that says illegal graffiti is to be removed within 72 hours.
They actually made up a new law for yours truly. Banksy has never been arrested.
