Boundary Bay

I did this hike to Boundary Bay, when I was in Waterton Lakes Park two weeks ago. The reason it is called "Boundary Bay" is because the hike actually takes you to the Canada US border! So on that day I literally hiked to the US and back. If you look closely you can see a vertical line or clearing in the forest across the lake. That is the border separating our two countries. I did notice a sign as you entered the US stating that firearms on the trail are legal, as long as you have a proper licence. Of course on the other side of the border in Canada, firearms are definitely not allowed. If you encountered a bear on the trail, would you rather have a gun than just bear spray?
