NBA DFS 10/18 Lineups/Results

Draftkings

Originally had Horford/Chriss/Rubio > Giannis/Skal/Ennis, but once Zach Randolph was announced out, Skal's projection pushed this to #1. Think this was a very strong lineup, just unfortunate that Kyrie shot ~25% from the field while Damian Lillard blasted off.

Fanduel

The top lineup was for GPPs and the bottom was my cash game lineup. The cash game lineup seemed like a total lock, nothing was really close. Only possible alternative was Oladipo/Kyle Anderson/Myles Turner which was a half point back, but I think Kyle Anderson sucks, so I manually lowered his projection to something more realistic which removed all doubt about which lineup was best. Cannot believe it did not win, but at least it was about breakeven.

Yahoo

Another clear best lineup. The alternative was to play Dennis Smith/Jaylen Brown/Ben Simmons > Oladipo/Lamb/Hood, but it was nearly a full point back for me. Hood ended up not starting due to "gastric distress" and having a poor game, but if anything I think I had Oladipo underprojected and Simmons overprojected due to Embiid playing more than expected, so I'm still confident that my lineup was best.

FantasyDraft

It was difficult to fit all 3 stars: Harden/Giannis/Lillard, but by not going them I ended up on Kyrie on both lineups. I had these lineups projected a half point better than anything else, and it seemed like a perfect split. Just not going to win when Kyrie underperforms relative to the other starsand Jason Smith gets hurt in the first quarter.

Overall Result: -$10,458.85

Rough night, but loved my lineups. Think the result is more an indicator of the variance and toughness of the games than of my lineup mistakes.
