Data Creators Should Share in the Profits From Big Data - CoinDesk
There has been various suggestions on how to share the wealth created by data.
One such suggestion is corporations value the data and share it with the consumer who is the source of the data itself by giving out credits for their data, which credit can then be used to purchase a product or service.
Another suggestion is to consider data as individual property and reward each and every person according to their contribution, as suggested by Andrew Young, the U.S presidential candidate.
Finally, the third suggestion is to consider data as a national property where nations control and trade the data of its citizen and use it as a national resource for the benefit of the country.
We see the last suggestion as the most practical solution.
