dCity - From Students to Scientist and Solider

I always try to keep Students in my dCity for the Tax Refund. Well, this past week two of my Students accumulated lots of debt and I felt that I must pay off that debt to ensure they become productive citizens.

Student to Scientist

When a Student card turns into a Student (debt) card, the cost to pay off that student debt is 130 SIM per Student (debt) card. I own four Student cards and it has been over a month since any of my Student cards has acquired enough education/training to turn into a Student (debt0 card. I had forgotten that this was possible.

The first Student (debt) card that I paid off turned into a Scientist. Students cost around 1400 to 1500 SIM each while a Scientist cost around 800 to 900 SIM. Since it cost 130 SIM to pay off the student debt, I actually lost value when the Student turned into a Scientist and I lost the valuable Tax Refund.

Student to Solider

The second Student (debt card that I paid off turned into a Solider. A Solider card cost around 1700 to 1800 SIM on the market so I broke even with the Student turning into a Solider.

A Soldier card a few additional attributes: 1) Increases Crime Rate 2) Gives 0.1 War Shares 3) Gives 1 Tax Refund. I was very happy to see that I received a Tax Refund to replace the 1 the Student provided however I do not think an increase in the crime rate is a good thing to happen.

Inactive Buildings

I still have one inactive building that I will need to address at some point in time. It is the casino which provides GAMER tokens on a daily basis.

With the new Soldier card having a negative 2 in Popularity, the casino would more than offset that with a positive 8 Popularity however it will take an additional 10 Workers to make it active again.

New Status

I purchased another Student and then enough additional workers to re-active my Casino. I wanted the Student so that I would have the Tax Refund so that I could continue to receive the daily ranked INCOME reward. To get the daily ranked reward you must be in the top 400 for that specific category. I was around 385 so new that if there were any changes for other players, I would drop out of the ranking really easy.

The new map shows that all of my cards are active and that I will have a 15 SIM INCOME per day. My employment is now "Perfectly balanced" and a new stat I have is the 0.1 War Shares which I will need to learn more about.
