๐Ÿ–ค Dark Perspective: Creating an Anime Artwork in Manga Studio EX4

Hello ecency! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Today I'd like to share a new artwork along with the creative process behind it. For this piece, I focused on creating an interesting perspective and a clean anime-style design, paying special attention to the pose, facial expression, and overall composition.

As always, I enjoy exploring different angles and techniques that help me improve my drawing skills while bringing more personality to each illustration. In this post, I'll show you the main stages of the process, from the initial sketch to the final rendered artwork.

Let's get started! ๐ŸŽจโœจ

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Step 1: Initial Sketch

The process started with a rough sketch where I focused on the pose and overall composition. Since the character would be viewed from above, I used simple construction shapes to establish the proportions and perspective.

At this stage, my main goal was to make sure the pose felt natural and balanced before moving on to the details.

โœ๏ธ Step 2: Refined Sketch

Once I was satisfied with the structure, I created a cleaner sketch to better define the hairstyle, facial features, clothing, and body proportions.

This step helped me visualize the final result more clearly and allowed me to make adjustments before starting the line art.

โœ’๏ธ Step 3: Detailed Line Art

After refining the sketch, I worked on the final line art. Here I focused on creating clean lines and adding details to the hair, face, clothing folds, and accessories.

Line art is one of the most important stages because it establishes the foundation for everything that comes afterward.

๐ŸŽจ Step 4: Base Colors

With the line art complete, I applied the base colors. I decided to keep a simple palette that matched the character's usual appearance while maintaining visual consistency with previous illustrations of my avatar.

At this point, the drawing begins to feel complete, although it still needs depth and atmosphere.

๐ŸŒŸ Step 5: Shadows, Lighting, and Final Details

The final stage involved adding shadows, highlights, and lighting effects to give the character more dimension and presence.

I also added subtle details to the hair, clothing, and background to enhance the overall composition while keeping the focus on the character.

๐Ÿ Final Result

This illustration was a fun opportunity to revisit my avatar and portray him from a fresh perspective. Exploring different angles and expressions is one of my favorite ways to keep a familiar character interesting and continue developing my artistic skills.

Thank you for following my creative process! โœจ

Do you enjoy drawing your own original characters repeatedly, or do you prefer creating a different character in every artwork? Let me know in the comments! ๐ŸŽจ
