The 2.80 release brings enormous new features to Blender including a total UI/UX overhaul, a new real-time PBR viewport renderer EEVEE, 2d drawing and animation support for Grease Pencil and much much more.
If you have tried using Blender before but didn't like it, I suggest you try it again now and see if you still feel the same about it before.
Pros:
• Free for any purpose
• Open source
• Thousands of tutorials
• Real time render engine ( A god-send for game artists )
• 80 MB download size ( That's more than 10x smaller than other 3D creation suite )
• Big companies are eyeing on it ( so I guess it'll be industry standard soon enough )
• Large friendly community
