The End And A New Beginning

Dear Friends,

It was an awesome run.

The board that I am with has made a great leap in the little time we had during time as a board member of Labuan Port Authority

The changes we made see the new port operator demonstrated its first performance on 1 April and the results were impressive, 158 containers handled in 9 hours. From the usual 3-4 days ships at berth, the containers were cleared in less than 24 hours.

We see fresh investment towards the labuan liberty port among many others areas, which include new machinary, work culture, policy and port dues related being created and implemented.

As of current, ongoing upgrading and improvement are being made. Labuan Liberty Port now has a competent port operator and these changes will serve my homies labuanites better.

There are more things needed to be done. Unfortunately, the political landscape has changed, nevertheless, I trust that the incoming board members will do their very best too and hope that they have labuanites interest close to their heart as well.

I am super proud of the work we did and most importantly it was a great honour to have the opportunity to serve my hometown alongside my fellow credible board member.

Hopefully one day, I will be considered to serve my fellow labuanites once again, till then stay safe and let's used our time to figure out how we can remain proactive in growing our nation economy during this MCO period.
