Electrical Integrity Analysis - Sensor Connector Cleaning Part 1 [ENG/SPA]

I am stopping by again to keep a record of everything I have been working on with my car. In my last post, I shared that one of the problems detected after scanning my car was code P0106, related to MAP sensor faults, which I thought I had solved by replacing it. Everything worked well for a couple of days, only for everything to get worse.

The car won't start now, and after scanning it again, it throws more error codes than before. One of the most serious ones has to do with the intake temperature level, which according to the reading reaches 120 Celsius; this is insane and clearly a bad electrical signal being sent by the MAP sensor to the ECU. Several of the codes have to do with cylinder misfires, which is obvious if the ECU is trying to adjust the fuel mixture due to the sensor's malfunction.

Among the fault codes are those related to the oxygen sensors. Logic suggests I should replace everything, but first, I want to try a visual inspection of the wiring, since it is very exposed to the oil leaks coming from the valve cover. As you can see in the images, motor oil is coating both connectors.

One of them came loose practically as soon as I touched it; it turned out it had lost the safety anchor it comes with, which I discovered when I tried to disconnect the other one. It is a kind of internal red pin that has to be pushed up on one side and then pulled. It took me a while to figure this out, trying to work patiently so as not to break any wires and make matters worse.

Removing this part of the wiring harness, which includes the CKP and speed sensors that go into the gearbox, was quite a challenge; everything is very full of oil, and after several hours of figuring out where the cables went, I finally managed to get them more visible to carry out a better cleaning, improve conductivity if possible, and clean the area. I will share the results of this task once I have done it; for now, I was only able to get the cables out.
