Collection Update + Daily Rewards
Earlier in the week I went out and bought 500 Untamed packs (+75 freebies), along with some Legendary potions and Alchemy potions. The reason why? After ETH had its update, I was able to make a transaction while only paying a $5 fee to do it! Finally!
Of course I wanted to invest some of the money in Splinterlands, so I had to buy some packs and since buying 500 gets you 75 for free, I went with that option. I don't think I'll actually keep all of the cards when I've opened the packs, but I haven't really decided yet. I may want to sell the cards and buy some Land instead or invest the DEC in a liquidity pool maybe. For now, I still haven't gotten through opening the packs yet! I've only opened 145 so far.
Most of those I opened on the first and second day after buying them. I was having a lot of fun with it then and enjoying looking up the values of my new Legendary or Gold Foil cards. A few of my favorite ones -
Then on the third day, I came down with a cold and I've been dealing with that since then and haven't been in much of a mood to open packs or play Splinterlands beyond completing my daily Quests. I did manage to advance a League thanks to my new cards. I'm now at Bronze I and will have a few more Loot Chests to open up at the end of this Season. I'm looking forward to advancing to a League where I get more than one reward for the Daily Quest so I'll have fewer disappointing days where I only get a few DEC as has been the case for most of this week. I did get 1 reward card -
Which was worth about $0.03. Still better than DEC rewards anyway.
Today's quest was a bit different from the usual quests - I only had to win 3 battles this time and had to refrain from using any Neutral cards in the battles. This was pretty easy and I managed to win 3 out of 3 battles. My reward for the day -
