Bataan Fortifies Crypto-Stand!

Hey Wolf-fam!

I've written how Bataan (a province down here in the Philippines) is continuing its efforts to incorporate crypto into its Bataan-verse drive and it looks like it is pushing forward even more with this endeavor. According to Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, the province seeks to simplify government service systems and processes using tokenization and blockchain technology. This will be used Bataan Government to enact the Community-Based Monitory System Act (CBMS).

The CBMS is an organized technology-based system of gathering, processing, and validating disaggregated data that may be used for planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring at the local level while empowering communities to participate in the process, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the national agency charged with carrying out the law.

In fact, the Bataan provincial government and leading blockchain company nChain have signed a memorandum of understanding to implement CBMS.

Is this the start and will other provinces continue this trend? Can we now pay for licenses or other government fees with crypto? Only time will tell! Its getting exciting!
