Time to look at 3Speak!
The master plan is now in advance stages, implementation coming soon 😊. 3Speak have been working hard to provide an incentive system for decentralized video storage, attacking one of the most resource intensive online content.

The white paper together with the SPK lightpaper is out. The claim drop for the miner token should start at the beginning of the next users for all the HIVE holders.

Meanwhile the existing app keeps on going, people use it and post on it. Lets take a look at the latest data.

Here we will take a look at the activity on the platform, the overall number of posts and comments, and the number of users. The top content creators for October 2021 will be presented as well.

3Speak started its journey somewhere around May 2019, since when we will look at the data.

Activity on 3Speak

First let us see the number of posts, or to be more exact videos coming from the platform.

Here is the chart.

Overall there have been a nice up trend till July 2021, then a flat out in activity towards 2021, with a small drop in June, followed by a spike in the last period.

On average there is around 180 video uploads per day in October 2021, or total of around 5500.

Here is the number of posts summarized by month.

Both, September and October have been a record high months for video uploads on 3Speak with more than 5k vids in the month.

3Speak Authors

How is 3Speak doing with the number of authors on the platform?

Here is a chart on the number of monthly authors that posted on the 3Speak platform.

The overall number of authors that uploaded a video in October is almost 1200. Again, an ATH in terms of MAUs.

Next the number of unique authors that posted on the 3Speak platform. These are authors that posted directly through 3Speak frontend.

The number of unique 3Speak authors is showing continuous growth.

Almost 6000 unique authors have used 3Speak to post, adding almost 500 new unique authors in the previous month.

Looks like there is some spam in the top authors. More legit authors down the ranks.

3Speak Votes

3Speak supports its content creators with votes from their official @threespeak account. It has around 1.5 million HP. A lot of the times @theycallmedan also joins the party and vote on 3Speak content.

Here we will be looking into the number of votes from the official @threespeak account.

We can notice a down trend in the numbers of votes, although I the last period the numbers seems constant with a slight growth. Around 40 votes per day now from 3Speak.

Nice job from 3Speak supporting the content creators and distributing rewards.
