Every hour 320.000 coffee-to-go-cups become trash in Germany /w Clean Planet Bag #60 on 23.05.2019

The European Union has signed a ban of single use plastics like coffe-to-go-cups. Now it is time for the individual member states of the EU to come up with laws following the guidelines of the European administration. The German environmental office presented statistics whereas 2.3 Billion single use cups are consumed in Germany per year. As a side note: those cups are made including a plastic coating, so they are not recyclable. The minister of environment is now discussing plans to fulfill reduction goals by changing prices for the production and consumption, a return scheme or a dedicated fund for litter removal.
