Hello Tree-Friends,
in 2016 I traveled to Tokyo and had the precious opportunity to visit a Bonsai museum (https://www.bonsaiempire.com/inspiration/bonsai-japan/shunkaen]) a little bit outside of Tokyo and Happo-en garden (http://www.japanesegardens.jp/gardens/secret/happo-en.php), while being on a conference.
The bonsai I saw were simply stunning and made me feel very humble. Some of those were more than 500 years old and looked so beautiful in miniature. I imaged what kind of joy but also pressure it must be for Bonsai Sensei to maintain them.
I like the idea of Treetuesday and look forward to watching and posting more tree pictures.
