Flood in Subulussalam

The three villages that were most severely submerged by Subulussalam flood were Jabi-Jabi, Sigrun, and Suka Maju Villages, Sultan Daulat District. Its excesses, thousands of houses were submerged by the floods of the Souraya River which stretched along the three villages. The flood this time was considered the most severe, even exceeding the events of 2000.
The big flood due to high rainfall and shipments from Kutacane, Southeast Aceh which had soaked three villages in Sultan Daulat Sub-District, Subulussalam City for the past three days, began to recede on Saturday 15 December 2018. However, hundreds of houses including public facilities such as schools are still flooded. The water level is starting to shrink, but some houses and roads are still inundated. Since 1:00 a.m. WIB, the water level has persisted so that the residents are still worried that if the rain flushes upstream, the flood will return to high.
