Japan Fest Lisbon 2018

On June 16, 2018, the 8th edition of the Japan Fest was held in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of the city's festivities. Held once again in "Parque das Nações" (the former place for the Expo98, already 20 years ago).

This year everybody agreed that the festival was a little bit weaker than in previous years, but always with the joy of warm reunions with friends. The performance on stage was as always of great quality and entertainment but somewhat affected by the climatic conditions, it was so windy, and a very hot day!

The Japan Fest (Festa do Japão) celebrates not only Japan but also the friendship between two countries and their cultures. The Japanese and the Portuguese.

The Portuguese arrived in Japan in 1543, the first occidental to reach the shores of the Rising Sun country, now more than 400 years past that first sparkle of friendship is still celebrated.
