Lunch with my honey

Another Saturday, another 3 hour art class for my son. So my wife and i are stuck in Hsin Chu. A perfect chance for having a nice meal together. So we found a pretty good restaurant.

One catch, I’m on an 8 day fast for spiritual reasons, water or tea only. But i want her to enjoy herself. So i sat with her and had a cup of tea.

The first dish she ordered was pig blood cake with peanut powder on top.

It was really good, she said.

The next dish she ordered was spicy and sour fish noodle soup. Another great one.

Unfortunately, the only tea they had was sugared, so i didn’t drink my tea. We plan to come back next week when my son has art class. By then, my fast will be over.

This restaurant was small, but had a lot of side dishes and they all looked so delicious.

Everything from pickled radishes, kimchi, seaweed, to passion fruit papaya. I can’t wait for next week.
