Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting my weekend of early, with another great contest!
It is organised by Hive account@kus-knee and this weeks theme is
untamed nature
so, more clearly, something like:

Think of a beautiful building. If you leave it and its surroundings abandoned for many years it will eventually be "swallowed up" by plants and trees that gain a foothold everywhere!

I got this!

I live in a very small old town in the Netherlands,
close to the German border.
Many many old buildings have been taken down and replaced by new ones,
but I know there is a couple of little abandoned buildings left
at the edge of the town, I know they are fully overgrown,
so, time to go check these beauties out properly!

Check out this gem:

Pretty overgrown huh?

I love the mix of, a very old building,
nature taking over, literally,
and the newish graffiti, it kind of works together beautifully.
And, if you thought that was overgrown,
take a look at this next picture from the same building,
taken from a different angle:

Crazy, right?

Doesn't that define being "swallowed up"?
I love how they cut away at the plants to leave an
open space to access the garage :D

The windows lost their glass a long time ago...

Look a little closer in the background,
this place seems like "Ivy's paradise" !
A lot of trees are fully overgrown with it to.
Let's walk around to check out the other side
of the building shall we?

Wow!

I wonder how many more years it would take for it
to fully disappear?
I walk here everyday with my pup,
but never really took my time to stop,
and take in my surroundings...
That's what I love about this contest!
It really makes me go out and look at things differently!
Having said that, I don't really have that perfect
angle, picture, to feature for this contest,
yet..
Let's walk around the building and check out the
other side shall we?

Who used to be behind that window?
Looking out at us, the world, people walking by..
Did somebody actually live in that tiny building at 1 point?
Ahhhh, my imagination running rampant now :D

I had a great time wondering around my town..

I am moving house next week,
moving up to better bigger things at last,
but I really enjoyed this contest, as it made me take
one last closer look at the beauties of this little town of mine..
