I was traveling to meet some family and decided to stop into Witch’s Hat Brewing for a quick sampling. The brewery is on the smaller side with a bunch of locals bellied up to the bar. They were actually pretty friendly and helped me pick out a few small sample glasses.

I decided to do a side by side of their This Guy and Train Hopper. Train Hopper is their flagship beer. It’s beautifully balanced and hop forward. Brewed with 5 different types of American hops and a delicate malt bill to balance. This Guy is a NEIPA that has oats and lactose to the grist to give a bigger mouth feel and they used over 10 pounds of hops per barrel!

My favorite ended up being the This Guy since it was a little more complex and hop forward.
