Der Galapagos-Seelöwe ist eine Ohrenrobbe, die allein auf dem Galapagos-Archipel heimisch ist. Die dortige Population umfasst inzwischen 50000 Tiere. Die Galapagos-Seelöwen leben im östlichen Pazifik auf den Galapagosinseln rund 1000km westlich des südamerikanischen Staates Ecuador als endemische Art.
