Bridging around

I've been playing around with bridges to and from various places: (1) the Nostr protocol, (2) the Hive blockchain, and (3) Mastodon. And, I guess we could also throw in (4) the Hive-Engine layer 2 sidechain of Hive.

It's intrigued me that these unrelated things can be linked up in an interactive manner. Here's how it works:

1. a note on Nostr with a special "!" command is posted and gets bridged over to Hive

2. on Hive, that ! command gets picked up and a token (HBIT) is issued using Hive-Engine

3. a random-chance game (Wusang) sometimes awards a bonus token (the first time I did this, I got a "BLAQEMRLD")

4. Mastodon just reflects the Nostr note (uses Nostrodon to bridge)

Today, I used Konetik (which is kind of a simplified version of Hostr) to go from Nostr, to Hive, to Hive Engine and mine HBIT and play the Wusang game.

What does it mean?

I'm not sure. But, linking networks (and people) somehow seems to hold powerful possibilities.
