Amigos, estamos en la temporada de cosechar maíz y en mi familia tenemos una siembra del mismo, así que este día fue para cosechar y preparar unas deliciosas cachapas con queso.

Friends, we are in the season of harvesting corn and in my family we have a corn crop, so this day was to harvest and prepare some delicious cachapas with cheese.

El ingrediente principal es el maíz, además de azúcar al gusto y un poco de sal.

The main ingredient is corn, plus sugar to taste and a little salt.

Preparación / Preparation

La preparación a pesar un poco tedioso, es muy fácil.
Primeramente se desgrana el maíz, con ayuda de un cuchillo.

The preparation, although a little tedious, is very easy.
First the corn is husked, with the help of a knife.

Seguidamente este se lleva a una máquina de moler para triturarlo o también se puede licuar, de tal forma que quede una mezcla suave.

Then it is taken to a grinding machine to grind it or it can also be liquefied, so that a smooth mixture is left.

Una vez tengamos la mezcla lista, se le agrega la azúcar y la sal. Luego se coloca un poco de mezcla sobre una hoja de plátano dándole la forma redondeada y se lleva a un budare, para que se cocine. Hay que estar pendiente para darle la vuelta y así se cocine por ambos lados.

Once the mixture is ready, add sugar and salt. Then place a little of the mixture on a banana leaf giving it a rounded shape and place it in a baking pan to cook. Be careful to turn it over so that it cooks on both sides.

Una vez listas las cachapas, la decimos y acompañamos con mantequilla y queso. Hay quienes deciden acompañarlo con algún tipo de carne, en especial carne de cerdo.

Once the cachapas are ready, we serve it with butter and cheese. Some people decide to serve it with some kind of meat, especially pork.
