I can see the beauty that you hide
You deserve a man who doesn’t quit
Not someone who plays chess with your heart
And leave you on fire.
He said you are hopeless
Now you feel uncomfortable with compliments.
You build a wall around your heart
Guarded with pains and fear
And now you can’t distinguish who is fake or real.
I know its hard to trust someone
Who may lift you up and drop you down.
Your heart is wounded and delicate now
Re-living your past will mess you up.
Now you build up a fence to keep people out.
I know it hurt and your heart is stretching.
Please don’t let a man define your worth
Search yourself and you have more than you think.
You are perfect the way you are
You don’t need a plastic surgeon, to be beautiful
Or a photoshop to make you pretty.
You are more than perfect
