🎨✏️ Still Life Sketching Practice Throwback! πŸ“ΈπŸπŸ–‹οΈ

Hey, here is the throwback to my black and white still life pencil sketching practice back in 2020. πŸ•°οΈ This journey was all about honing my skills in pencil work, focusing on various elements and objects to capture the essence of their tones, shapes, and textures.

Apple Practice:
The main focus was on mastering the art of tone and shape. 🍏 The challenge lay in representing the subtle gradients and contours to bring the apple to life on paper.

Thumbnail Magic:
Learning the art of cropping and positioning - creating dynamic thumbnails to lay the foundation for a well-balanced composition. Thumbnail sketches played a crucial role in the creative process.

Aluminium Kettle Reflections:
Trying to representation of reflections on the surface of an aluminium kettle, capturing the play of light and shadow from surrounding objects.

Cloth Folds:
The challenge shifted to cloth, aiming to master the intricate art of drawing realistic folds and capturing the fabric's texture.

Glass & Bottle Transparency:
Delving into the transparent and glassy world, the focus shifted to a wine glass and bottle. Rendering these objects was all about capturing their unique, translucent qualities.

Combo Challenge:
Combining all the previous elements, pushing my skills to represent multiple objects within a limited timeframe. The rush added an exciting challenge to the mix.

Camera Angle Experiment:
Trying out different camera angles to find the perfect perspective for sketching. Sometimes, a fresh viewpoint can make all the difference in bringing a scene to life.

Cloth - Line Sketching:
A revisit to cloth, this time emphasizing the importance of line sketching strokes. This added a new dimension to the overall sketch, focusing on the finer details.

Artistic Crop:
The final challenge was trying to crop a better outer shapes, adding an artistic touch to the overall presentation.
