2B Nier Fan Art - Drawing process
On December 25, 2022, aboard an ETS Train in Malaysia, I embarked on drawing my 2B Nier: Automata fan art. The game inspired me, and I aimed to capture the essence of 2B's character and journey.
Sketch:
I crafted dynamic poses to convey 2B's strength, seeking to evoke the emotions I felt while playing the game.
Line Art:
Using a hard round brush, I refined the sketch, ensuring the lines matched 2B's original design.
Base and Background Colors:
Shadows and Colors:
I created dynamic shadows using gray color with a multiply layer and added depth by incorporating olive green and pale lavender with a soft brush for environmental colors.
Light and Shadow Details:
I adjusted proportions and added light and shadows to make the artwork look deeper.
Final Touches:
I added dust, motion lines, and robot eyes for detail. Merging layers and adding a blur effect brought everything together. (dont forget to do a backup)
The sketch and line art were completed on the train, while the rest was finished at home.
