Worm Poo vs Moo Poo? (Fertilizer)

Hey everyone, a year or more back my partner and myself started a mealworm farm with the hopes and aspirations of selling bulk sustainable protein for animal feed purposes. Sadly that dream was dashed as we just couldn't find a market for them albeit been a massive market overseas. I guess South Africa isn't quiet up to date with global trends just yet, not when it comes to eating mealworms, for now.

What we did however discover in the process is that mealworm poo (Castings or fras) makes a really good probiotic rich organic plant food, we packaged it and sold a few bags as well as tested it ourselves. Careful not to overdose the results were interesting rather positive even I would say.

I recently moved next door and live on the foot of a glorious mountain, "the bronberg". Rich in nectar for my bees really scenic views really easy on the eyes as well as cows forage the general area and where cows forage, moo Poo can be found.

A quick walk 3 metres from my lounge and I collect a bunch of cow sh!t. Throw it in a bucket of water for 2 days add bug sh!t and use that stinky bucket of goo to feed my plants and it would appear at this stage they are all thriving. From my bonsai to my aloe-vera plants chillis and more.

I used to plant directly into soil. Now I plant in buckets which seems to be working out nicely. Tobacco seeds, tomatoe, kale, chillis and more growing and or germinating, it promises to be really interesting to see how these look in a month or two.

My little 20 watt solar panel I use to charge 12 volt batteries incase the power goes out.

Spot the moo poo? I collect from here every week or two. See those amazing purple blooming Jacaranda trees in the background. Our bees are loving it as the honey has just begun to flow, yay 😀

I recently saw a really interesting documentary on the healing powers of tobacco and nicotene or more specifically nicotene. I went online and purchased myself 4 different varieties of tobacco plants picturee in these buckets (yet to germinate) and we shall hopefully be making all sorts of healing herbal remedies out of tobacco soon. Did you know that most nightshade plants contain nicotene as well as gem squashes, celery and tomatoes? But we're taught nicotene is enemy and bad for us?
