Europa Qualifiers Previews (Anderlecht & AA Gent)

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, and injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

I'm getting myself back into a routine of doing the work to preview the matches and cover them in-game. Two matches in Europe will be played today from Anderlecht and AA Gent who try to qualify in Europe...

IFK Goteborg vs AA Gent

So AA Gent (63M) played their first qualifier matches against LNZ Cherkasy (21M) and both encounters ended in a 0-0 score with Roef once again showing himself during the penalties. Their opponents were a defensive team and AA Gent didn't really manage to create anything with quite bad unattractive play while at the same time they also looked ok defensively. They still miss Samoise as the wing back and Goore who takes his place struggles there. Kanga also still in injured and not available today. The big question today is if they in the meantime managed to improve their automatisms offensively and how much the more offensive playstyle of their opponent Goteborg (16M) suits them better. Just based on the team value difference (63M vs 16M) and the fact that Goteborg is only 13th in the Swedish league should really make AA Gent into the big favorite. Yet the previous poor performance kind of makes it a gamble at the same time and the Stadium of Goteborg looks pretty good and likely will have good home support. I'm expecting the home team to go forward and and AA Gent who hopes to get space in the back to exploit. According to their ex coach in a podcast, they should not have too difficult of a time to get through these last rounds and quality for the group phase. According to coach De Mil, Goteborg is a better team compared to Cherkasy. In the previous round, Goteborg lost 1-2 at home against 4.24M player value FCI Levadia Tallinn. My only real option now is to back AA Gent hoping they are able to pick up their form compared to last match against an opponent who should allow them to play more. The best scenario would be if the home team started good which pushes the odds toward 1.80+ on AA Gent +0 line and to take that the moment AA Gent gets better in the match. I'm also kind of leaning toward a tiny bet on AA Gent -1 @ 4.00 odds as there is a chance that they are just the superior team. I haven't pulled any triggers yet so No Pre-Game Bets

PAOK vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht (75M) in their matches against Hammarby (34M) showed very different faces in the same matches at times looking like they were nowhere with no energy but them switching it around and really playing quite impressive for this early in the season with a lot of drive forward. So if feels like once again, they are a team that might be quite unreliable. They are still without camare, hey and Sardella who all are defenders but they can be replaced. PAOK (88M) is also in preparation but managed to beat Dynamo Kiev (92M) in the previous round winning twice and they also beat Westerlo (4-0) & Waasland (4-1) in previous practice matches. I do lean tward taking Anderlecht as the +0.75 underdog given that what they showed in previous matches at times was quite promising. At the same time, I would not be surprised to see PAOK at home start the match better and for the odds to be pushed up. Anderlecht also looked quite capable in offense so I'm also leaning for them to score. Again here I have not pulled any triggers yet and will wait and see what the match brings. No Pre-Game Bets

I share many of my pre-game bets in all my preview posts as bold selections (& also on the SBC Discord) which are all counted as 1-unit flat bets.
