This prompt reminds me of a Netflix series I once watched, Undercover Billionaire. Many people often resist the need to start again because of past experiences of lack, struggle, and many other factors.

But sometimes, starting again is a wonderful way to build capacity for the things we were born to do.

If I were to find myself in a new place without any money or connections related to my current skill set, it would likely take me three to six months to establish myself.

I would first make sure I could communicate effectively. Then I would leverage my skills in phone and computer repair, event planning and decoration, communication, and sales because you have to actively communicate to earn trust.

On weekdays, I would go to the phone parts market and position myself in such a way that I could connect people who have phone and laptop problems with those who have offices and can fix them, allowing me to earn commissions.

I would also position myself to connect people who want to buy new phones and laptops with trusted vendors in order to earn commissions while also building customer relationships.

Then, on weekends, I would move from one event center to another, looking for decorators I could assist with their work.

Once I make enough money to get a shop in an area where there are few or no phone accessory stores, I will open an outlet there. We would not only fix phones and laptops; we would also sell accessories and engage in various training programs for young people who would like to get into phone and laptop repair.

I definitely understand how frustrating it can be when people have issues with their phones, so this is one of the business strategies I would employ to survive in a strange land.

I would also reinvest money earned from event decorations to buy a few essential items commonly needed for decoration jobs. Additionally, I would join a community where I could strategically do some volunteer work that would help make my brand known.

Lastly, we would keep asking for referrals from people we help, whether with their phones and laptops or at an event. Once we become comfortable, we can begin to open up other lines of business.
