I was getting antsy and needed a run!
Too much screen time and not enough movement makes consciouscat an antsy woman... It was hot. Normal, summer, South East Queensland hot. It was around 4 pm but I needed to move. So instead of our afternoon walk I asked new.things if he was up for a run instead.
While he loves running, asking him to run after he'd already run in the morning and would likely run again the next morning is perhaps a big ask. We went on the understanding that he'd run as much as worked for him and I'd run ahead as much as I wanted and just circle back to him again periodically. (He used to do this with me often when he did his runs in the afternoon instead of the morning before work. It works well).
But it turned out that he was able to run most of the way. God know how his run went this morning!
And I got back feeling better. I'd sweated, a lot. I'd moved. I'd shifted energy that had felt stagnant in my body and I was ready to eat some dinner. After a dip in the cold pool of course ;)
I just finished a 4.04km running that lasted about 0hh:28mm:23ss !
