I was not expecting this much rain...
Gosh, it's wet!
Today I only managed to get 6,000 steps because it rained and rained and rained some more.
I did sneak in a brief walk this morning. I'd watch the rain radar like a hawk and picked a 20 minute window that had light rain instead of bucketloads. But it already looked like this in the bush...
This is where I had planned to walk, but the creek had flooded the wide path ๐
So I double backed and took a narrow track. It was a temporary creek rather than a 'track' ๐
This is the concrete driveway to get out of the bush. I can't remember every seeing it flooded this far across ๐
This is the storm water drain from the road. I don't remember ever seeing it that high either ๐
Still, I was delighted to have got in a walk and got home before the next massive shower it. And the nicest surprise? Seeing a pair of King Parrots feeding in the trees in our front yard ๐
The rain must not have bothered me too much as I sat in a deep squat for several minutes simply admiring them, delighted to see a species of bird I rarely ever see.
If you had a challenging day, what was one great thing that happened in amongst the craziness?
