A stroll around the Botanic Gardens (Hervey Bay, Qld)

This morning was the last of our time in Hervey Bay. It was a short getaway, the best we could do during this period where Covid numbers are exploding and people are freaking out about it. We wanted easy, no fuss, a fun holiday.

So Brad (@new.things) did his usual long Sunday run this morning while I took my sweet ass time to get up, play on Hive and pack up. Then it was off to the small but quiet Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens. I'll be honest: they don't stack up against Tamborine Mtn (where we went recently) or Toowoomba (which is gorgeous) and have nothing on any major capital city in Australia. But if you're ever in Hervey Bay and you want a quiet spot to get away from people where you can see lizards and be surrounded by trees, then these (free) Botanic Gardens will do the trick!
