Baltimore police department are looking into this and are collectively offering a $32,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the three suspects.
The elderly Muslim man has now been released from hospital and recovering at home.
According to CAIR: "We recognize this attack has the elements of a possible hate crime in which the victim’s religious head covering was forcibly removed before he was knocked to the ground."
