A couple of years back I asked myself : "What is Resource Allocation?" - and I have been contemplating it ever since, as it turned out to be something that is totally fundamental and the engine behind almost everything we do. Have you ever asked that question?
To perform the process of resource allocation you need "Trust", "Transfer" and "Settlement" (TTS). Digitalization of TTS is exactly what you get from the blockchain design. Just think about it; it enables automation of any type of transaction. That is a huge thing.
You also get the contractual environment (smartcontracts) to run the resource allocation processes - that always consists of a relationship between Party A and Party B that is regulated through a Contract (ABC). This is why the potential of the blockchain software stack goes through the roof and it is the reason there are thousands of relevant use cases across all industries.
