A nation is expected to be the bedrock for the citizens
The citizens are supposed to see endless possibilities
While they are able to reach their full potentials too
That is what a nation should be, as it should be
Every nation should be able to provide comfort
As much as the protections that should be enjoyed
There is no perfect nation, but every nation can get better
The leaders of every nation should be accountable
Putting the citizens first as they have promised to do
These shouldn’t be so confusing for everyone to know
It is what every statesman should know; as it should be
When we have a failed system, it is our duty as the citizens
To rise up and do the best for our country, as it should be
We have all been failed by our family members at some point
That didn’t stop us from calling them family and being open
If our country failed us as against our expectations in her
It shouldn’t stop us from seeking for how to make her great
A stain to our country is a stain to us in the outside world
We all have a sense of responsibility to our country, as it should be
