Two hearts become one, two families become

Saturday 4th July, one weekend I had a lot of fun and work to do. It was my cousin's traditional marriage.

It is always a joyful pleasure to see how a person's choice becomes a collective work.

Marriage unites the family...most people travelled long distance to show up for our beautiful cousin.

The child belongs to the family during the marriage but while growing up is the parent's responsibility.

In my village,
it's almost like the kinsmen take or have a great portion from the marital rites. Each time I ask for a reason, they say it is tradition.
It begs another question "who made the tradition?"...

Back to my cousin's traditional marriage,
The preparation of both meals and logistics went smoothly. The inlaws argue and negotiated the listed items for marriage procurement.
What started as a turf ended up in lasting happiness as the two families successfully gave consent.

The whole atmosphere was filled with the unending pomps of music, different display of meals, fashion and culture. It was an interstate marriage.

Someone said we extorted from them. I explained that's how tradition differs in many places. To them you have prepared thats why you came.

My cousin was already getting tired being indoors waiting for her dance out. Then the MC said she could dance out.

It was a victory atlas for the inlaws and joy to everyone. It meant that the rites was complete and accepted. We danced out with her.

She made a beautiful bride. I'm wishing them a wonderful Prosperous marriage.
