Playing In The Woods

Got to spend a few hours in the woods yesterday, hiking and shooting outside Berea, Kentucky. We finally got a few hard frosts recently and the foliage has really started to show some color so I had to head for the woods.

I may have overindulged in the photo-taking yesterday, I've still not managed to look through all of them. I keep getting sidetracked editing B&Ws for #monomad but I'll have some proper fall colors for y'all soon.

Is it me or do the leaves change color later and later each year? While I love the fall colors I would happily trade them for not having to deal with winter. Anybody else with me? Maybe I just need to move to the tropics for a bit...

I was granted a reprieve from the dentist today, seems they didn't have anyone there to torture me properly so they had to call and reschedule. Works for me, I'm quite happy to start me weekend early and fool around with a #fridayfreewrite.

Anybody have snow already? I always dread fall, no matter how pretty it is, it can't disguise the fact that winter is following on its heels. Maybe global warming will do away with winter entirely...
