Investing in Nifty 50 Only

I have been asked several times in the last few weeks, that where I am investing. I am investing only on Nifty 50 even though some of my stocks are at a great valuation but still I am not catching the falling knife and not averaging those. But yeah I am doing that with the Nifty 50 ETF.

The average buy price of my Nifty 50 ETF is around 277 I.e. NiftyBees. And the current price is somewhere around Rs 271, so yeah I am 6 Rupees doen per unit but I am happy. I am happy to continue buying the ETF at the lower rate. The problem is I am not sure which sector is gonna shine in the next bull run and that's why having all the sectors is a great option as of now.

You might ask that why not any other ETF. The thing is I consider Nifty Next 5p, Nifty Midcap 150 and Nifty 500 also but I am investing in the Nifty 50 more and more so that I can get into the 1 lot of Nifty 50 to do futures and options. To do covered call for options, I have to have 1 lot and that is around 5K shares of Nifty 50. I am not 100 percent sure about the number but that's the bare minimum. So whatever amount I have extra, I try to buy the Nifty 50 ETF to have the shares for 1 lot.

And once that it done I will continue to invest in other ETF and try to have those also to 1 lot. Till then I am continuing to invest in the Nifty 50 only. And since it's going down, it's good for me to get more units.
