Once again, Hive prices are dragging down Holozing's development

Not long ago I wrote about how the low price of Hive could affect Holozing and what the community could do to help. Unfortunately, the situation has not changed much. Hive continues trading at levels that are far below what many people expected, and that naturally raises questions about the future of one of the biggest projects being built on the blockchain.

The first thing worth mentioning is that a low Hive price does not mean Holozing is in danger of disappearing. Development depends on much more than the token price. There is a team behind the project, a roadmap, and a community that has supported it for years. But it would be unrealistic to pretend that the market has no impact.

When Hive loses value, the purchasing power of rewards also falls. A post that earned enough to cover several hours of development months ago now may represent only a fraction of that amount. The same happens with curation rewards and other blockchain-based income streams. In simple terms, every Hive received buys fewer hours of programming, art, music, marketing, and testing than before.

That creates an interesting dilemma. The developers can continue at the same pace while spending more of their own resources, or they can slow certain parts of development until market conditions improve. Neither option is ideal, but they are realities that almost every crypto project has faced during bear markets.

There is also the psychological effect. When prices remain low for a long time, some community members become less active. People post less, vote less, and sometimes move their attention to whatever blockchain or token is currently trending. That reduction in activity can make a project appear quieter than it really is, even if development continues behind the scenes.

On the other hand, history has shown that some of the strongest crypto projects were built during difficult markets. Without the constant excitement of rising prices, teams tend to focus on improving the product instead of chasing short-term hype. If Holozing continues to release updates and improve the game while Hive remains undervalued, it could be in a very strong position whenever market sentiment eventually changes.

Personally, I still think the biggest mistake would be judging Holozing only by the current market. A game's success will ultimately depend on whether people enjoy playing it, not just on the price of the blockchain token beneath it. The token certainly matters because it helps finance development, but the game itself is what will determine whether players stay for months or years.

The current Hive price is undoubtedly a challenge. Development may become more expensive, funding may feel tighter, and progress might require extra patience. Yet these are also the moments that reveal which projects are truly committed to their vision. If Holozing keeps building despite the difficult conditions, then every update released during this period could become evidence that the project was designed for the long run rather than for the next bull market.
