Snow Garlic
Mother Nature can't quite decide!
Spring or Winter?
While everyone is posting beautiful photos of tropical flowers, here in Southern Ontario we had a surprise snowstorm yesterday.
But my garlic is hardy and will shrug off this last gasp of Winter...
This is hard neck garlic (German Red) that is planted in late October and November and covered with a bed of several inches of autumn leaf mulch to sleep through the Winter.
Pretty soon the planting will start of peas, lettuce, radish and other cold hardy veggies.
Here's hoping for warmer days soon!
